In an old episode of Koffee With Karan, Anil Kapoor mocked Shilpa Shetty’s lip job and the video of the same has gone viral!
Ace filmmaker Karan Johar is grabbing headlines for his much-awaited chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 7’, which is all set to premiere tomorrow on Disney+ Hotstar. The first episode of the chat show will be graced by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and several promos from it have left everyone quite excited. Amidst the excitement, fans are digging out old episodes from the show wherein actors made some shocking statements. Amongst such episodes was the one when Anil Kapoor mocked Shilpa Shetty for her lip job.
Back in 2010, the Mr.India actor graced the couch and talked about Shilpa’s lip job. He also wondered what they do on their lips to make them bigger. Recalling an old incident, Anil revealed that during the shoot of their movie Badhaai Ho Badhaai, the actress got her lip job done and it affected the continuity of the film. When the host asked him to recognise the actress that had a bad botox job, the actor said, “Kaun hai yaar? Yeh lips pe kya karte hain? The Nayak actor then added, “Can I say about Collagen? I didn’t like the way Shilpa Shetty had done her lips when she was shooting for Badhaai Ho Badhaai. My entire continuity went for a toss.” Karan at this point asked Anil, “Her lips became bigger?" and to this, the actor pointed out, “Her lips became bigger, and I said, ‘You just shot for this film and suddenly there’ll be continuity jump’. Itne mote lips hogaye they (her lips had become so fat)… But now her lips are fantastic.”
This old clip has gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, talking about the new season of Koffee With Karan, this year has an interesting lineup of celebrities. Many popular South actors like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Vijay Deverakonda among others will make their debut on the show this season. Other guests on the show for this season will be Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, and more.
